Lots of 5 assorted hand made face masks. These face masks are made with 3 layers for added protection.
All three pleated layers are 100% PREWASHED soft woven cotton fabric for added comfort and protection.
Approximate measurements 8” x 3”, with black or white elastic ear loops for comfort. Machine washable. Made in USA

Gail Ellen
Gail is a former New York City fashion designer who has a BA in arts and communication and studied fashion design and merchandising at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, as well as more than 35 years experience in the apparel industry. Her entry into the field In NYC began in design and then progressed to manufacturing as a production manager for a major clothing supplier. When she decided to work from her home to raise her children, her career began as a personal tailor working freelance and then for a major upscale department store chain (currently furloughed).
Why we don't put filter pockets in our masks:
After extensive research on the subject, we have found that 3 layers of fabric are just as effective as an accepted HEPA (high efficiency particle air filter) type filter. Using a paper product as a filter such as coffee filters, paper towels, etc actually absorb more moisture which will bring the germs closer to your face. Most HEPA type filters, vacuum cleaner bags, a/c filters, etc may contain microscopic glass fiber which is harmful to the lungs, and their manufacturers warn against using them for masks. If you are considering using an acceptable HEPA filter, Studies have determined that close weave 100% cotton fabric also provides the best balance of filtration efficiency & breathability. Officials also caution that wearing a mask is more for protecting transmission from the wearer to others, not to protect the wearer.

These masks are excellent during these bizarre covid-19 times. They are not itchy like the cheap paper masks and can be washed and reused. Much better than anything I could make myself and very durable! Another VERY important point is that they stay flush to the face. Many other masks are not close to the face and can allow germs inside, which is the whole point of using a mask!

Getting such a quick delivery with beautiful selections and most of all, fair prices, was wonderful!! I had originally ordered blue paper masks from (eBay) from 2 different sources.
